Let not this excellence of thought pass beyond reach
Dear esteemed members and lifelong companions of the Iranian Genetics Society! For over half a century, our society has been fortunate to
serve faithfully in the advancement and development of the science of genetics.
With the grace of the Almighty, and with the collaboration of esteemed colleagues, and supported by accumulated experience, we have begun planning for the organization of the Iran Genetics Festival in the year 1403 AH (2024-2025 CE). This festival will encompass the sixth International Congress and the eighteenth National Congress of Genetics in Iran. The festival, to be held next year in cooperation with Shahid Beheshti University, will involve the participation of numerous universities, research institutes, scientific societies, and the private sector from the 2nd to 4th of Khordad (May 22nd to May 24th).
It is hoped that this prominent scientific event, like previous examples, will provide a valuable opportunity for the exchange of scientific information and experiences in the field of genetics. This objective will be achieved through the active participation of attendees in presenting scientific papers, conducting educational workshops and specialized roundtable discussions, and other scientific programs.
This event endeavors to promote and elevate the science of genetics by creating opportunities and possibilities, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of the impacts of genetics-related sciences in various fields. Issues related to genetics in health sciences (prevention and treatment) or agricultural sciences related to food security play a crucial role, the neglect of which could inflict significant harm on the country.
Today, genetics-related sciences such as genetic engineering, biotechnology, stem cells, systems biology, synthetic biology, and others play a significant role in addressing important issues in various fields such as medicine, biological sciences, agriculture, genetic resources, food security, public welfare, and more.
Genetics sciences have been able to address numerous needs and provide solutions to the complex challenges of today's world.
Our wish is to, with the grace of God and your esteemed collaboration, organize a worthy festival in this period as well. We aspire to create an inspirational space for young enthusiasts of these sciences, alongside providing an unparalleled opportunity for the exchange of information and knowledge.
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all those who are contributing to the organization of this festival, especially to the esteemed scientific, executive, and international secretaries, and their deputies, for their sincere collaboration.
Likewise, I warmly express my gratitude to the supporters of this event, especially to the esteemed participants whose active presence will enrich this significant scientific occasion. Finally, I sincerely thank all individuals and scientific institutions that contribute in any way to ensure that this festival achieves its objectives and is held at the level of the Iranian Genetics Society.
